This position is located at our assembly site: 2732 Grand Ave, Suite 140, Everett, WA 98201

Official Working Hours: Monday thru Thursday 1:30pm-12:00am

Production Supervisors manage the day-to-day operations of machining, fabricating, and assembling on the shop floor. They are responsible for hiring, training, and directing employee’s actions while working within the Production System. This position focuses on efficiency and throughput. Supervisors must have knowledge of the employee’s capabilities and how to best schedule their work accordingly. Supervisors also must consider the machines, equipment, and process constraints involved. Supervisors are expected to fairly and uniformly enforce company policies, procedures, and Royell Core Values.

Requirements Essential Functions

  • Without delay, make sure employees establish good production rhythms and get to work.

  • Frequently walk the floor to ensure compliance with the Production System; queue management, shop schedules, production/systems triggers, etc.

  • Check, verify, and correct any issues regarding product traceability, legibility of handwriting, counting accuracy, back audits, etc.

  • Make sure that employees work safely and use the expected personal protective equipment.

  • Identify employee skill levels, document strengths and weaknesses, and ensure that training is accomplished and effective. Employees should have Individual Training Plans for onboarding, skill progression, required certification training (as needed).

  • Ensure that employees clean and organize their work areas by removing clutter, sweeping, moping, and wiping down machines and equipment.

  • Apply our attendance policy and stay current with the demands of counselling, documenting, and disciplining employees who struggle to come to work on time or who miss work.

  • Work with HR to hire qualified production applicants.

  • Complete the employees’ Annual Performance Evaluations on time.

  • Work cooperatively with peers to effectively share production resources, plans, and tasks related to setting each other up for success.

  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of all Company records and information. Responsible for safeguarding company property and equipment.

  • Must regularly maintain good attendance per policy each attendance year.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Maintain a visual presence on the shop floor, lead by example, and model positive behaviors. 2. Always demonstrate integrity and the fundamentals of fairness when supervising employees.

  • Motivate employees to do what’s expected without excessive reminders and prompting.

  • Use effective analytical skills when evaluating and resolving production problems and issues.

  • Exhibit the fundamentals of common sense and sound judgment when making decisions.

  • Maintain positive, cooperative, working relationships with all employees within the company.

  • Be open and approachable to employees by making time for them, welcoming discussions, and patiently listening to them when they want to tell their side of the story or when they have problems that they would like to discuss. Give effective advice, direction, and feedback.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Verifiable job experience that required effective organizational, leadership communication and adult training skills.

  • 2 years verifiable supervisory experience.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other office-related computer software, using a computer.

    Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field.

  • Verifiable, prior job experience that required the development of effective, technical training materials and implementation of effective employee, technical training programs.

  • Verifiable achievement of formal Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Green/Black Belt Certificates.
