AvtechTyee Inc Test Technician 2 or 3 in Everett, Washington

We are looking to add Test Technician with troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Our Test Technician's work independently on high-complexity components, assemblies, subassemblies, and instruments in accordance with prescribed specifications and procedures.

You will be a-part of our FAA Repair team, supporting our electronics/avionics team.

What you will/may be responsible for:

  • Troubleshoot and repair items of high/advanced complexity -- including but not limited to electronic components, subassemblies, assemblies, and/or instruments - according to defined procedures and instructions.
  • Functional testing of items that are of high/advanced complexity -- including but not limited to electronic components, subassemblies, assemblies, and/or instruments - according to defined procedures and instructions.
  • Identify failure trends, collect data, and present to supervisors and engineering
  • Review and redline documentation errors for prompt/timely modifications and corrections
  • Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
  • Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
  • Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

     

What you will bring to the role:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics or higher is preferred
  • 5+  years' of practical experience working with complex electronic test equipment in a troubleshooting and repair environment
  • Requires military or trade school training in electronics including digital and analog theory and solid state circuitry

     

Other experience that is a plus!

  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading, interpreting, and understanding written requirements, procedures and specification in relation to the task to be performed
