Job Description Overview CORT Party Rental is hiring an experienced Woodworker! Our Woodworker works collaboratively as a part of our operations team; ensuring that our product meets quality standards and arrives where it needs to. They are responsible for repairs and creating custom pieces. Pay: 23-26 / hour depending on experience Schedule: Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm. Safely and effectively operates all tools and equipment to industry standards. Skilled at assessing repair viability of damaged or broken rental items, and repairing or repurposing as needed. Ability to read shop drawings and use them to create simple components and assemblies accurately and within tolerance. Manages workflow to ensure a clean and organized workplace. Cleans and organizes daily, or as needed to keep and maintain an organized and functional workspace. Consistent reporting of in-house inventory of shop consumables and materials to supervisor. Ability to be forklift certified. Will need to be able to transport product safely to and from racks. Assist the repair department under the supervision of the repair lead. Duties may include but are not limited to sanding, painting, basic electrical repair, basic carpentry, or other repairs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 3-4 years of woodworking expereince, with an emphasis in cabinetry, store fixtures, displays, and carpentry. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age. Ability to speak, read and write English fluently. Safely operate and have experience with a table saw, chop saw and various power tools. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings. Contribute to designing prototypes for potential new rental items. Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs. or more frequently. Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass background checks and drug screens as a condition of employment.
