Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to repair, maintain, and diagnose a variety of domestic light to heavy-duty diesel vehicles, including but not limited to F350’s, F750's, and heavy-duty diesel engines. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality work, uphold high standards of workmanship, and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Examine assigned vehicles for potential safety or service recommendations

• Perform high-quality repair and maintenance on various diesel vehicles

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with vehicles and plan repairs

• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on all vehicles

• Ensure an organized and safe work environment

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of light to heavy-duty diesel repair experience

• Ability to work on a variety of light to heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment

• Working knowledge of diagnostic systems, hydraulics, testing equipment, and tools

• Full set of tools (specialty equipment provided)

• Valid Driver’s License

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience repairing and maintaining Ford vehicles is a plus

• Reliable, self-starter with a strong work ethic

Work Environment

The work hours are from 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with no weekends. The shop is smaller, with around 15 people including technicians, office staff, owners, and parts personnel. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and jeans.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairbank, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
