Senior Software Engineer

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the overall technical and security strategy of the organization. This position is available for remote, on-site (Fairmont, WV), or a combination of the two, offering flexibility to suit the candidates preferences.

Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, and deploy software applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure system reliability and performance Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs, code, and system configurations Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes, identify trends, and improve software performance and user experience Modify and maintain existing software applications Collaborate with the CTO and other stakeholders to define and implement software architecture and design patterns Collaborate with the CTO to develop and implement IT strategies that support the organizations objectives Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and compliance standards Ensure the organizations IT systems are secure and comply with relevant regulations and standards Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve business processes Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, Typescript, VB.NET, SQL) strong understanding of software development methodologies, and experience with cloud platforms and DevOps (e.g., Azure DevOps) practices Experience utilizing Microsoft .NET preferred Experience with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Java, XML, HTML, CSS, LINQ, VB.NET preferred Experience with SharePoint development preferred Database design experience in SQL Server or Oracle is preferred Minimum of two years software programming experience Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Equivalent on-the-job experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong interpersonal and team-building skills Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical and nontechnical staff members and clients
