Here’s Where You Come In
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for driving operational efficiencies aligned with the overall strategic vision. You will oversee your processing and operations team providing them with your expertise, leadership, and mentorship to achieve their individual and team goals. You will design, implement, and oversee policy and procedural improvements. As an integral part of the PL leadership team, you will participate in the creation of our strategic action plan and implement the tactical plan to achieve our vision and meet our established goals.
Job Responsibilities
Monitors and evaluates operational performance and recommends improvements.
Provides guidance and support to operations team members.
Develops and implements policies and procedures.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the team.
Creates and monitors departmental reports leadership, service, and sales team to determine whether KPIs are being met and where there is room for improvement.
Develops, implements, and manages operational processes and systems to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction.
Provides ongoing feedback and quarterly reviews that ensure verifiable improvements in productivity.
Provides ongoing learning initiatives and continuously coaches team members on best practices.
Provides support to team members on unique cases and assists with backup on the ongoing team responsibilities. In the absence of a team member, delegates their workload accordingly.
Communicates regularly with the Managing Director and other Team Leaders to ensure a consistent, high-level experience for our colleagues and clients.
Resolves complex employee problems or disputes in a professional manner.
Acts as the ‘power user’ in EPIC to maximize capabilities and consistent staff usage.
Develops and monitors auditing processes to ensure procedural consistency among staff.
Further builds and strengthens cross-departmental relationships to ensure a consistent high-level experience for our colleagues and clients alike.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations to reduce E&O exposure.
Maintains active insurance license and actively participates in department meetings.
Job Requirements
Valid Michigan Property/Casualty insurance license
4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
General office and leadership experience
Previous experience within an insurance agency is highly preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and EPIC.
Strong contributor in a team environment.
Maintains a high level of personal accountability.
Organized and able to focus on the task at hand.
Reliable with a strong work ethic.
