Job Description: Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Balance complex projects related to datacenter construction and operation. Collaborate with cross functional teams for research processes such as procedure creation and preventive maintenance measures, troubleshooting issues, and develop efficiencies within the datacenter. Review troubleshooting plans, Maintenance Operating Procedures, Preventive Maintenance steps, and other documents needed to guide technicians, vendors and other engineers in the datacenter. May conduct troubleshooting steps. Understand technologies related to automation systems, materials, fire protection within the datacenter. Research and understand emerging cooling technologies within the datacenter. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same area as assigned MSFT office location.

* Minimum Job Requirements:*

Education:

Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Hardware, Electronic or Electrical Engineering,or a related field

Experience:

Four (4) years of experience in mechanical design, systems, and standards.

Specific Skills:

Must include 12 months of experience in: Data Centers; Sequence of operations for HVAC systems and equipments; Chilled water system; and Evaporative cooling; and 6 months of experience in Facility design; Fire suppression systems; and HVAC design drawing and calculations.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position TSKBR18363, in Fayetteville, GA, is $150,000 to $180,000.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employees role.
