Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems of computer, networking and other computer-related technologies.

  2. Daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Computer assembly and programming (majority Linux based)
  • Setting up hardware and software, including computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment
  • Troubleshooting: Resolving computer issues for clients, either in person, by phone, or electronically
  • Installing and monitoring networking equipment like routers and switches to ensure optimal performance
  • Updating: Keeping malware protection devices up to date to prevent viruses and hacking
  • VIOP phone
  • Assisting with new and modified systems to accommodate new projects

  • A+ Certification Preferred

** Linux Experience Required

  • PC technician to build, test, and service surveillance camera systems. This will include installing and/or servicing all types of PC hardware. Capable of learning and implementing various OS and other software.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a group as well as individually. Must be reliable, have a valid driver's license, and be willing and able to travel. The position requires an individual who possesses solid customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • This position may occasionally require the employee to be discreet, exposing them to confidential information. It is imperative that the employee adhere to company privacy policies at all times. Applicant must be able to pass a drug and background test.

  • Hourly wage is based on experience and performance. There is opportunity for advancement by developing and leading an efficient team. Salary supplements include commissions, bonuses, and referral fees
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Professionally and courteously walk customers through resolving various issues remotely
  • Utilize various software, primarily Teamviewer, to remotely access or assist customers
  • Assist and support field technicians where necessary to resolve and troubleshoot technical problems
  • Assist and support sub-contractors where necessary to resolve and troubleshoot technical problems
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Utilize ticketing system to manage active service tickets
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures

Qualifications and Skills

Valid Driver's License

Ability to work within a team setting

Effective communication skills
