Job Title: Carpenter - Fontana

Job Description

Repair and refurbish modules primarily utilized in schools and business offices. The ideal candidate should have a sense of urgency, work safely, and work independently. Must be able to work with hand and power tools, and be responsible for maintaining a clean shop and work environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the shop clean

• Clean trailers, including floors, walls, counters, etc.

• Assist and/or train in duties to help service team and refurbishments

• Inspect basic electrical wiring systems

• Check, scrape, and seal roofs as needed

• Clean all windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors

• Perform carpentry repairs as needed, including floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, fixtures, etc.

• Maintain a clean working area inside and out, including lawn, parking lot, and building

• Perform regular inventory checks and orders

• Attend regular safety meetings

Essential Skills

• Ability to work with hand and power tools

• Basic hand tools (hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, tape measure, etc.)

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Carpentry knowledge

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to use and operate a floor buffer

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some knowledge of computers

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus

• Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools

Work Environment

Work inside and outside in varying temperatures. Work hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with summer hours starting at 5 am to 1:30 pm. Flexibility with hours is required. Dress code includes steel-toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. The company provides safety glasses and gloves. Must have steel-toed boots, tool bag, and basic hand/power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
