Responsibilities
Manages the development and implementation of testing and inspection procedures.
Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Oversees production to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations.
Monitors testing results to determine if product specifications are met.
Monitors the recommendations of corrective action where necessary and develops plant quality control manuals.
Knowledge of Modification Work Order (MWO) process and tracking MWOs in aircraft historical records, ACN, and HYDRA.
Supervises the aircraft maintenance activities.
Supervises tasks associated with aircraft maintenance.
Ability to plan, manage and direct a work force in the performance of aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification.
Supervises the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors.
Receives and reviews requests for maintenance and prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources.
Monitors maintenance performance and ensures all inspections, repairs, and component changes are accomplished.
Maintains records and documentation related to repairs made. Leads and directs the work of other employees.
Qualifications
Experience with customer-based software such as ACN, GCSS-Army, ULLSA-E, or HYDRA.
Experience interacting with internal/external customers.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Must have solid verbal and written communications skills to coordinate with both internal and external production control offices to schedule MWO installation and MWO kit shipping to off-site locations.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
3 years previous leadership experience in a Rotary Wing maintenance environment required.
Experienced operations leader with record of leading teams through meaningful change in high tempo environments.
Provides direction of daily operations of a section.
Develops work assignments, assess performance of subordinates.
Strong written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to determine priorities of scheduled and drop-in work.
Desired skills:
Understanding of the Culture of Accountability.
Common knowledge of aircraft logs and records process.
Specific knowledge of H-60, H-6 and H-47 platforms.
Prior SOF Community experience beneficial.
