Production Planner I

We are looking for a Production Planner who is detail oriented, able to multi-task and able to work independently to accomplish objectives in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize capacity. Release production orders for production to enable fulfillment of customer orders. Manage customer order ship dates and collaborate with internal teams to improve on-time fulfillment. Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production issues. Communicate production requirements and address any issues. Manage key resources, shop floor schedule, and capacity. Team with production and purchasing groups to recognize and resolve capacity or critical material imbalances constraining factory production. Collaborate with customer service to understand customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery. Monitor all production lines to ensure adherence to planned schedules and efficient resource utilization. Plan, measure, and monitor operations limits and capacity of the organization. Forecast and plan capacity requirements to ensure alignment with operations and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels and inventory demand. Manage production capacity to ensure efficient operation and minimize bottlenecks. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Collect and analyze data to drive continuous improvement. Work under management guidance for projects requiring analysis. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in production planning, inventory management, or a similar role. Practical understanding of planning processes in a manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems and production monitoring tools. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing demands. Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience 2+ years manufacturing Production Planning experience APICS certification Working knowledge of S&OP process Working Environment and Physical Conditions Normal factory environment Intermediate physical activity including lifting, bending, squatting, walking, and sitting, etc.
