Senior Roadway Engineer – Drive Growth, Lead Projects, and Shape the Future of Northern Colorado’s Infrastructure
We’re looking for a Senior Roadway Engineer with a proven track record in winning work, managing complex projects, and leading teams to drive the growth of our roadway, highway, and municipal engineering practice in Northern Colorado. As a highly motivated work-winner and leader, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our practice and deliver impactful projects while being at the forefront of expanding our presence in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the expansion of our roadway, highway, and municipal practice in Northern Colorado by actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with clients.
Take full ownership of project delivery, from design to execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality.
Engage clients and stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to identify project needs, solve problems, and exceed expectations. Build strong, lasting client relationships that lead to repeat business.
Lead complex engineering design tasks, overseeing the design and delivery of roadway, highway, and municipal projects, including managing technical issues, resources, and budgeting.
Drive the vision, business planning, and strategy for expanding the roadway design practice, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Foster open communication with your partners and project teams, ensuring collaboration and transparency across all project phases.
Mentor and guide staff, providing leadership and professional development opportunities for junior engineers and staff.
Manage projects profitably, ensuring that work is transitioned to qualified staff while maintaining strong oversight of project performance and financial outcomes.

Qualifications
10+ years of experience in managing roadway projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license—ideally in the state of Colorado, or the ability to obtain one.
Proven success in winning and delivering work in the local and surrounding areas, establishing a strong reputation and network.
Extensive experience with the full project life cycle for roadway projects, from concept through design and construction.
Strong relationships with local agencies, municipalities, and key stakeholders in the region.
In-depth knowledge of the civil design of local roadways, urban freeways, and interchanges, with an understanding of both technical design and practical application.
Demonstrated ability to manage roadway projects profitably, while leading teams, ensuring project success, and fostering client relationships.
Expertise in writing proposals, developing scopes of work, and preparing budgets for projected work.
A passion for business development, client engagement, and growing a practice in a competitive market.

Salary & Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000
Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation , rewarding your contributions to our growth and success.
