About the Position: This position is with the U.S. ARMY SUSTAINMENT COMMAND, 406TH ARMY FIELD SUPPORT BRIGADE, LOG READINESS CTR, FT DRUM. Responsibilities Performs technical work required to accept, process, schedule, track, complete, and deliver various types of commodity equipment owned by customer units and activities. Assures that equipment is properly accepted. Signs receipt and notes missing components. Applies working knowledge of equipment maintenance practices to check equipment operating conditions against TM or other equipment standards. Schedules, coordinates, and controls work projects performed by commercial sources. Performs Contracting Officer Representative (COR) type checks upon receipt of repaired items from vendor. Maintains records and monitors status of Work Orders through inspection of equipment received for repair or modification. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) utilizing automated systems for operation and to receive and process equipment; (2) assisting with submitting, processing, and tracking maintenance job order requests; (3) providing status updates to customers on job orders. NOTE: For most one-grade interval occupational series, the qualification standard calls for at least 1 year of specialized experience. Sometimes however, there is no position in the normal line of progression in an organization that is one grade lower than the position being filled. In such instances, 1 year of specialized experience at the second lower level (GS-05) is creditable for in-service applicants. However, for outside applicants (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service), 1 year of specialize experience equivalent to at least the next lower level is required.
