Construction Assistant Project Manager

Location: On-Site – Fort Lauderdale Courthouse

About the Role:

KEITH is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of construction projects at the Fort Lauderdale Courthouse. This role will work on-site, collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project coordination, scheduling, and compliance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing construction activities, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and on-site teams to maintain workflow and resolve any issues.

• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

• Support procurement efforts, including material tracking and inventory management.

• Conduct site walks and inspections to verify work quality and adherence to contract requirements.

• Assist in handling RFIs, change orders, and coordination with inspectors and courthouse representatives.

• Facilitate communication between field teams and project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Construction project management or field experience.

• Experience working on commercial or government projects is preferred.

• Knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.

• Strong understanding of job site logistics, permitting, and subcontractor coordination.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and contract compliance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Procore or other construction management software is a plus.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
