Job Description

Responsibilities include implementing circuits including schematic and PCB layout, testing and validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. You will also be responsible for delivering designs which meet quality, schedule, and cost targets. Join our team making smart vehicles for a smart world and bringing new ideas to life.

 Design high speed digital and power management circuits to meet section requirements

 Design circuits using industry standard schematic capture tools

 PCB layout implementation of responsible subsection

 Design complex high-speed signals that meet impedance requirements

 Perform worst case analysis of circuits in area of responsibility

 Generate documentation that defines processor pin assignments

 Develop detailed design documents

 Perform failure mode analysis and generate process documentation

 Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections

 Design communication links between the processor, other internal subsections, and external modules

 Formulate test plans to ensure component level performance

 Validate testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes

 Root cause and resolve issues in assigned sections

 Participate in system design reviews

 Interface closely with other teams such as Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing teams and with external component suppliers. Pay ranging anywhere from $85-100K+ based on experience.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

 Experience designing high-speed digital circuits

 Knowledgeable on microprocessors, solid state memory, cameras, displays and sensors

 Working knowledge of industry-standard interfaces (e.g. LVDS, DDR, PCI, I2C, and Ethernet, etc.)

 Sound hardware and software troubleshooting skills

 Experience with hardware and embedded software systems

 Experience working with test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temperature chambers, time-domain reflectometers, precision power meters, etc.) Familiar with CAD tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Cadence Design Systems, etc.)

 Familiar with automotive interfaces (e.g. CAN, LIN, etc.)

 Proficient in simulation tools for signal integrity and power management circuitry null
