Job Description

A client in the financial technology industry is seeking a Java Engineer to join its Enterprise Identity team. As part of an Agile Scrum team, the Engineer's responsibilities will include designing, building code, raising pull requests, collaborating with other teams, testing and deployments. The effort of this Engineer will be to strengthen the customer's authentication capabilities and functionalities. Strong knowledge of Java and backend engineering fundamentals including knowledge around databases and cloud deployments is required, as is strong knowledge of unit testing. Code quality and coverage is highly important to this team.

Pay for this position is $50-72/hr depending on experience as there are multiple levels open for this.

Skills and Requirements

Expertise in core Java, and recent versions 8, 11, 17 (preferred)

Experience defining and building microservices architecture with Spring boot

Fundamental knowledge of security concepts, SSO, authorizations, etc.

Experience with Agile development

Build tool knowledge, such as Maven or Gradle

Good knowledge of databases, such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Mongo, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch or Redis

Strong unit testing experience with JUnit

Knowledge of public Cloud environment, preferably AWS or GCP Strong knowledge of Integration, Regression, Functional and Performance testing null
