Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Fort Myers, Florida

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the education sector. The position is located in Fort Myers, Florida. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring the accuracy of records, and addressing customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain an up-to-date record of all customer credit details

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions when needed

• Utilize Workday Financial Management software to streamline financial processes

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards within the education industry

• Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and systems

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial reports

• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided

• Regularly review and update financial policies and procedures.

Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

• Minimum of five years of experience in managerial accounting or financial management.

• Proven experience in supervising and managing professional staff.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and applications, including Workday Financial Management.

• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Knowledge of taxation regulations and reporting.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Experience in a university setting is considered a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
