Job Title: Aviation Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multiple projects within the aviation industry, particularly in active airport projects. This role requires a strong background in project management, subcontract negotiations, and schedule development. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of aviation projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret documents and contracts.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Write, negotiate, and award subcontracts.
Review and prepare subcontractors' scope of work.
Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project.
Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
Assist in the estimating process.
Review and prepare change orders.
Develop and track submittals, RFI’s, and cost reports.
Maintain positive owner relations.
Essential Skills
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in project management, specifically in aviation/airport projects.
Experience with active airport projects, including E-Verify, FAA regulations, certified payroll, and DBA wages.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.
Experience with tilt construction.
Ability to create material take-offs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
College degree in a construction/engineering field preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of the South Florida construction market is preferred.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Marketing and presentation skills.
Highly organized, motivated, and a detail-oriented problem solver.
Work Environment
You will be working on ground-up Customs House projects with a budget of $10 million. The initial project will be based in Sarasota, with potential travel required. Our office in Ft. Myers, which has been operational for three years, is part of a larger, employee-owned company with a presence in multiple locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $145000.00
