U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command Supply Technician (Office Automation) in Fort Sill, Oklahoma

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities Perform a variety of complex assignments as the Army Material Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) technician. Open, close, and change status, and assigns parts received to corresponding workorder within the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) database. Review open requisitions status and provide recommendations and/or initiate solutions. Updates GCSS-Army databases to reflect accurate readiness reporting data. Routinely conducts shop and bench stock inventories and seminally conduct demand analysis to ensures required quantities are on hand. Prepare, submit and track Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR). Monitor and manage various reports. Manage files in accordance with the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Routinely dispatch unit equipment and/or vehicles to authorized licensed operators. Close out dispatches as equipment is returned, ensuring correct usage data is updated in the GCSS-Army. Incumbent to drive a government motor vehicle to pick up, transport and deliver repair parts and supply items to supported activities. Also required to operate a forklift to move supplies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Utilizing web-based automated logistics supply systems, proficient with logistics procedures and regulations, and able to maintain information within the Global Combat Support System (GCSS),the automated logistics management system used for all logistics actions; to include inventory and accountability of materials required for combat support vehicle readiness. Ability to preparing various reports, submit quality deficiency reports for lost, damaged, or destroyed items. Answering inquiries from customers regarding the statues of supply requisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-[insert 05 or above]). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
