ArcBest Safety and Security Coordinator I - Human Resource in Fort Smith, Arkansas
Job Description
The Safety and Security Coordinator answers inquiries and provides information to the employees, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding business activities while maintaining entrance security, managing incoming phone calls, and performing other activities to support building security. The Safety and Security Coordinator also assists with HR and Security related duties within the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead various Human Resources projects.
Update HR systems to ensure accurate and confidential employee records are maintained.
Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity.
Maintain access control system regarding creation and deactivation of Employee ID and visitor badges.
Create a positive experience for all new employees to support the employee engagement initiatives.
Respond to inquiries regarding CDC guidelines concerning Public Health crises.
Coordinate emergency response notifications.
Maintain lobby and reception work area in a professional manner.
Operate telephone system to answer, screen, and direct phone calls, provide information, and take messages.
Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Provide guidance and assistance on human resources policies, procedures, and standards to current and potential employees.
Manage company response to disability verifications, employment verification requests, and other related processes.
Conduct safety and security audits of campus locations.
Greet people entering campus building, determine nature and purpose of visit, and maintain appropriate visitor logs.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma / GED, required
Experience:
- Customer service experience, preferred
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Work hours vary based on scheduling to provide coverage between 7:00 am - 5:30 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Compensation:
- This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
