Dist Local Gov Projects Coord I: Assists with coordinating local government managed projects with federal and state funds in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Work includes overseeing these projects through all applicable phases of project development (planning, environmental, right of way, design, letting, construction, and project close out). Usually reports to the Director of Transportation Planning Development or other staff level manager. Work requires contact with high level government officials, agencies, and the public. Dist Local Gov Projects Coord II: Assists with coordinating local government managed projects with federal and state funds in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Work includes overseeing these projects through all applicable phases of project development (planning, environmental, right of way, design, letting, construction, and project close out). [Performs high level professional and consultative work related to local government projects management]. Usually reports to the Director of Transportation Planning Development or other staff level manager. Work requires contact with high level government officials, agencies, and the public.Essential Duties:Dist Local Gov Projects Coord I - II:Inspects local government construction projects and ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and proceduresPerforms project site visits and prepares reports.Assists with construction and financial closeouts for projects.Prepares high level correspondence and technical reports.Makes presentations regarding status reports and project results.Prepares correspondence and reports.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned Additional duties for Dist Local Gov Projects Coord II:Recommends program guidelines, policies, procedures, enhancements and methodologies.Performs project monitoring and data collection to determine if a project is progressing according to budget.Monitors the performance of local government agencies on transportation projects with Federal or State funds in accordance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
