Job Title: Medical Assistant - Cardiology Clinic
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Full-time, M-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-3
Description:
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic cardiology team in Fort Worth! As a vital member of our back-office team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care and supporting our clinical staff in providing top-notch cardiovascular services.
Responsibilities:
Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for stress tests, echocardiograms, and other cardiovascular procedures
Schedule procedures, prepare echo charts, and room patients for exams
Explain procedures and treatments to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and provide empathetic support
Assist with electronic health record (EHR) management and maintenance, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience and promoting patient engagement
Collaborate with our team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring our clinic remains at the forefront of cardiovascular care
Requirements:
Medical assisting certification or degree (RMA, CMA, NCMA, or CCMA)
Experience with stress testing is a MUST
Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiology or medical office setting
Strong understanding of cardiovascular terminology, procedures, and treatments
Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding oral communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
Bilingual skills a plus, but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with stress testing, echocardiograms, and other cardiovascular procedures
Knowledge of cardiovascular medications, treatments, and guidelines
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
