Summary
The Distribution Records Specialist roles perform a portion of Record Services system wide to ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet business objectives and client needs while promoting a safe work environment
Key Roles & Responsibilities
For both roles:
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
According to processes established by Records Dept., the incumbent may be assigned to complete any of the following tasks:
Aegis Design and Maximo progressions of WNCAP WOs, DSD WOs (Reactive to storms and other emergencies) as well as various map corrections
Manage and maintain a large number of projects
Using GIS software, precisely add/update Landbase features to allow designers to estimate WOs more efficiently and provide a tie to CC&B/OMS
Work in various roles to support emergency restoration
Have thorough knowledge of and follow Safety practices and policies
Have thorough knowledge of and follow Oncor’s Code of Conduct
Complete special projects as assigned
Specific to Specialist II
Connectivity, phasing, protective devices and resolution of errors within Aegis and Maximo
Participate and complete assigned technical and safety training
Develop and maintain sound business relationships with clients
Cooperate with Oncor employees on a project basis
Specific to Specialist Sr.
Advanced knowledge of connectivity, phasing, protective devices and resolution of errors within Aegis and Maximo
Participate in and complete assigned technical and safety training, sometimes assisting in the training of others.
Assist in training and mentorship of others
Investigate and correct discrepancies in order to ensure all systems accurately reflect field infrastructure
QAQC of Records Specialists II work
Develop and maintain sound business relationships with various Oncor groups and personnel
Education, Experience, & Skills
For both roles
Education
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
Measures of Success
Ability to complete assigned tasks on schedule and accurately
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Demonstrate ability to learn Company processes and procedures
Successfully assist other office personnel when needed
Specialist II
Experience
- 1-2 years experience in Distribution is preferred
Skills
Basic knowledge and experience in Aegis, Maximo, OMS, DMS, FIM, ACIS, Cognos, Power Source, IDispatch, and Mobile TC is preferred
Basic knowledge of ArcPro, Arc Desktop and Adobe is preferred
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and SharePoint
Adaptable to changing technologies and ability to navigate between various software/programs
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
Capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience
Having good time management and organizational skills is required
Be able to follow oral and written instructions
Measures of Success

Foster positive working relationships with peers and develop strong network with key personnel
Specialist Sr
Experience
- Must have 2-4 years’ experience in Distribution or college degree
Skills
Adaptable to changing technologies and ability to navigate between various software/programs
Must have thorough knowledge of the Distribution system and how it works
Ability to effectively prioritize work and multi-task to complete assignments on time
Ability to manage a large number of projects efficiently and accurately
Capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience
Effectively communicates on deadlines and tasks
Must have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must have strong computer skills and have advanced knowledge and experience in Aegis, Maximo, OMS, DMS, FIM, ACIS, Cognos, Power Source, IDispatch and Mobile TC
Advanced knowledge of ArcPro, Arc Desktop and Adobe
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
