Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician, you will work in a food and beverage environment. You must be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical motors, pumps, brakes, and clutches. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing both planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on production, packing, processing equipment, and utility systems. These systems provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical power, gas, or air required for operations.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, pumps, brakes, and clutches.
Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements.
Perform both planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packing, and processing equipment.
Maintain utility systems to ensure continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical power, gas, or air.
Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform maintenance tasks.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform welding tasks as needed.
Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
Handle ammonia refrigeration, gearboxes, and 480v systems.
Perform PLC troubleshooting.
Essential Skills
Maintenance technician experience
Troubleshooting skills
Electrical and mechanical knowledge
Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
Preventive maintenance expertise
Ability to read schematics and blueprints
Electrical troubleshooting
Welding experience
Production repair skills
Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance
Knowledge of 3 phase systems
Experience with conveyor systems
Ammonia refrigeration experience
Knowledge of gearboxes
480v electrical systems
PLC troubleshooting experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Computer skills
TIG and Stick Welding a plus
Drill press, vertical mill, and lathe experience a plus
PLC experience a plus

Work Environment
You will work in a food and beverage environment, with some areas being refrigerated at approximately 36 degrees. You will be required to wear full PPE and adhere to strict no-jewelry policies within the facility.
