The System Offices is one of several system members within the Texas A&M University System representing one of the largest systems of higher education in the nation, with a network of 11 universities, a comprehensive health science center, eight state agencies, and the RELLIS Campus. Job Description Summary:

Project Specialist - Operations will provide operational support for Texas A&M-Fort Worth operations, events, and external relations.

Responsibilities:- Event Management: Assist in managing event services, including reservations, scheduling, planning, billing, and post-event evaluations. Support the development and oversight of unit budgets. This includes coordinating with various departments to ensure all logistical aspects ofevents are handled efficiently, while also evaluating their success and areas for improvement. - Collaboration: Work with other System member offices and agencies. Assist in building and maintaining strong working relationships across the Texas A&M University System. This involves regular communication and coordination with different offices. - Operational Support: Support the Texas A&M-Fort Worth Director of Operations with event and external relation procedure development. Monitor project timelines and communicate needs clearly. Recommend program, project, or process improvements. - External Relations: Assist in coordinating external relations and cultivating relationships with stakeholders of Texas A&M-Fort Worth. Engage with key stakeholders to foster support and collaboration. This involves organizing meetings, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring that stakeholder interactions are productive and aligned with the institution's strategic goals. Works closely with the Texas A&M Foundation and the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Innovation Partnership. - Stakeholder Management: Support the management of relationships with strategic groups and constituencies. Brief staff in advance of priority engagements and attend engagements to offer on-site support. This includes preparing detailed briefings, managing logistics for engagements, and providing support. - Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Three years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to provide strategic communications guidance and counsel to senior level administrators.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing executive engagement support within a higher education or closely related setting.
