South Middlesex Opportunity Council Program Coordinator, Recovery in Framingham, Massachusetts

SUMMARY

Support the Anchored in Recovery Program by assisting with administrative responsibilities, resource development outreach and internal communications, as well as service delivery. Provide care for a target population of single adults struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. The team includes both SMOC staff and collaborative community partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Director in managing the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department .

  • Develop, schedule, implement and record training and professional development activities .

  • Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.

  • Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.

  • Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as SMOC policies & procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred . May be substituted for 5 years of related experience.

  • Prior experience in mental health, substance use with a minimum of 2 years community services preferred.

  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills required .

  • Flexibility in hours and work locations.

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and evidence of insurability required .

  • Dress is business casual.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to drive a vehicle.

  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.

  • Ability to make a comprehensive assessment of client needs.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

  • Direct ly reports to Director of Anchored in Recovery Peer Recovery Support Center .

  • Ind irect reports of this position are Engagement Specialist, Volunteer Coordinator, Recovery Coach .

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will travel to various locations within Framingham and the schedule will require flexibility. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Program Director will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
