The Human Resources Student Coordinator will perform personnel and support duties for the Director of Human Resources & Human Resources Operations.  This position requires a high level of confidentiality, quality work and comfort level working with team members from diverse backgrounds, including international students.  Assists in performing interviews and hiring applicants for level 1 -- 5 positions.  Performs clerical and personnel duties.   All HR duties include Bavarian Inn Lodge, Bavarian Inn Restaurant, River Place, Cass River, and affiliated Gift Shop locations.  This position will be the primary contact for all students engaged in training programs at the Bavarian Inn, Inc.  which includes but is not limited to, J1 Exchange students, internships and work study/mentorship placements.  

*Hours:  Must be able to work weekends, weekdays, mornings, evenings, and holidays

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Pursuit or completion of degree in Human Resources field and/or experience in Human Resources related position.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient with Windows based office software including the use of Excel.

Continues to further education by seminars, tapes, and classes.

Physical ability to move storage boxes as heavy as 50 lbs.  (Bending, reaching, stretching)

Ability to stand for five or more hours at a time.

Ability to communicate in a positive manner both verbally and nonverbally with internal and external guests.
