Must have exceptional organizational skills, accounting/financial background, accounts receivable/payable & eMARS experience, excellent attention to detail, and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite Programs. Pay rate: $25.00 an hr.

Monday – Friday 8am – 430pm

Responsibilities & Required Skills:

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Programs

• Prior accounting/financial experience, accounts payable, accounts receivable required

• High accountability

• Excellent attention to detail

• Maintain confidential information

• Prepare correspondence

• Prior experience with eMARS & EBI preferred

• Verify documents for accuracy

• Excellent customer service

• Research driven

• Excellent attendance record

• Creative thinking & problem solving

• Must be prompt and professional

• Must have excellent time management

Additional Responsibilities:

· Administer and Manage the Public Defender Program

· Processes payments to vendors in a timely manner as a result from a needy defendant motion for funding assistance

· Processes receivables annually for population of each Kentucky County as determined by the Council of Local Governments’ most recent population statistics

· Audit and ensure compliancy for each document processed

· Ensures processing accuracy with a special attention to detail

· Works closely with the Department of Public Advocacy to ensure timely and accurate payments to vender

· Manages an outlook inbox for items to process

· Ensures economical and efficient operations

· Assists with the Division day-to-day operations

· Advise on process and workflow improvements

· Assist the Division with each fiscal year end closeout
