JobsRUs.com is now hiring for a Production Supervisor for a well-known automotive parts manufacturing facility in the Fraser, MI area!
This is a 2nd Shift position
The role of a Production Supervisor is to manage the production performance, personnel issues and the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards of several GAP (Autonomous Production Groups).
Responsibilities include: • Make sure QCD indicators reflect customer expectations. • Define, together with the supervisors of the other shifts and the UAP manager, QCDP targets for the GAPs (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas, etc. • Monitor performance during the shift and report data at the end of the shift. • Manage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume, etc. • React in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, build corrective action plans. • Receive daily line KATA with GAP Leader/operators. • Replace GAP leader when necessary. • Define threshold and escalation of reaction modes to problems within their supervisory zone. • Update electronic KPI's on daily basis. • Issue disciplinary actions to operators/GAP Leaders based on company rules and policies; including, but not limited to suspend employees. • Approve/deny Paid absences based on business needs. • Stop the line to protect operators and customers from potential harm or quality issues • Reject suspect material coming to the line. • Make independent quality calls based on boundary sample (i.e absence of Quality Mgr. or QE). • Escalate line KATA to HP QRCI 8D. • Go into backup mode when poka yoke cannot be fixed in a timely manner. • Go into backup mode when mechanical failure. • Flex employees out based on customer performance. • Implement rewards and recognition based on performance. • Ensure the HSE Management System (HSEMS) requirements are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the ISO 14001/45001 standards.
