*POSITION TITLE:               * Senior Truck Driver (multiple openings)

POSITION DUTIES:              Drive semi-trucks through extreme conditions in the continental United States to deliver products -- including narrow roads, mountain passes, rural locations, rough terrain, bad weather, etc. Truck loads weight ranges from 50 000 lbs to 160 000 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Engage in independent night-time driving. Read maps, manage congestion and routes to ensure timely delivery in locations with no cellular service. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment. Minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, as feasible. Perform roadside repairs. Maneuver trucks into loading positions and ensure proper functioning of vehicles for safety. Log working hours, vehicle services and repairs, assignments. Comply with state and federal regulations. Drive trucks to weigh stations. Inspect loads; load and unload truck; secure cargo. Communicate professionally and maintain cleanliness. Follow safety protocols. Engage in extensive travel domestically to perform job duties. Maintain compliance with the Safeland OSHA compliance course (PEC) to be able to enter the clients' unloading zone. Work with pneumatic pressurized trailers and understand the procedure of pneumatics and the safety around unloading. Operate an extra wide load or oversized load with fleet pilots to guide truck through traffic. Under extreme conditions and steep hill climbs, operate a truck while being pulled with a winch truck for extra support. Throw tire chains for all ice road conditions, especially up mountains and hills. Place permits in the front window of the truck to display for DOT. Multiple positions open.

REQUIREMENTS:                This position requires at least twenty-four (24) months of truck driving experience (any title). Must possess or be eligible for Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Extensive domestic travel required.
