Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Lead to oversee daily production activities and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing documentation, process improvement, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift start-up meetings with the department team to communicate current priorities, targets, ongoing issues, process updates, expectations, and quality goals.

• Attend daily recap production/shipping meetings in the absence of the manager.

• Direct hourly employees and coordinate daily production activities.

• Determine and develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and quality.

• Utilize efficient and effective Flow process of Work In Progress (WIP) at all times.

• Prepare daily productivity reports.

• Evaluate issues and potential problems proactively in a timely manner.

• Ensure 5S housekeeping duties are assigned and completed daily.

• Maintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishments.

• Monitor department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for results and trends.

• Develop contingencies and short-term processes as needed.

• Identify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standards.

• Develop hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
