Under general supervision, Senior Lifeguards closely monitor pool
area activities and swimmer safety and
assist
in
the
direction
and
supervision
of
the
staff
and
program
of
a
swimming
pool;
resuscitate
and administer First-Aid and CPR to swimmers and determines if medical care is necessary and notifies appropriate agency; instruct in swimming, lifesaving techniques and safety regulations.
It is recommended
that
those
applying
for
the
Senior
Lifeguard
position
have
at
least
one
year
of
experience in lifeguarding with the City of Fresno's PARCS Department Aquatics Program.
CONDITIONS
OF
EMPLOYMENT
Applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will be referred to the hiring department for further consideration.
Selected individuals will be required to successfully pass a Department interview, a Department of Justice fingerprint, and provide proof of Tuberculosis (TB) clearance, prior to employment with the City of Fresno.

hour
