Advantage manufacturing Quality Tech (Quality Technician) in Friendship, Tennessee

The primary role of the QA Technician is to ensure high standards in the production process across machine and packaging areas to maintain the quality of all products in line with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively to prevent defective products from reaching the customer.
  • Monitor and record machine parameters (e.g., cycle time, cooling time, charge time) to ensure consistent part quality.
  • Maintain overall part quality by inspecting for issues such as flashes, shorts, deformation, or other defects.
  • Ensure personnel are following procedures and actions for parts, such as trimming or clipping due to mold defects.
  • Ensure all products are packaged according to specifications, including label accuracy, packaging material (e.g., totes, cartons), and information requirements.

Job Specifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to distinguish color variations.
  • Able to read and understand all work instructions and customer QA requirements.
  • Attention to detail to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Necessary Experience:

  • Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with QA tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, GO - NO GO and other measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of GDandT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
