A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Reimbursement, Payer Enrollment Specialist,
The Payer Enrollment Specialist is responsible for managing all enrollment-related activities for Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers. This includes adding new payers to Telcor, handling registration and employee access to payer portals, and maintaining the Payer Portal, EDI, and Medicaid tracking sheets. This role primarily involves performing administrative and technical duties necessary to prepare and complete enrollment and re-enrollment applications within established time frames, ensuring compliance with the standards required by Medicare, Medicaid plans, commercial payers, and other third-party entities for Castle and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities include Medicaid credentialing and recredentialing, electronic professional claims, ERA, EFT, and portal and website enrollments. Additionally, the Payer Enrollment Specialist oversees Payer Portal Registration & Management, researching portal availability and capabilities for payers, acting as the primary administrator for registering Castle, its subsidiaries, and associates on payer portals, assisting with password resets, and completing renewal activities to maintain portal access. The specialist ensures that enrollment and continued enrollment activities are completed in a timely manner while maintaining internal files, including copies of current payer enrollment documentation, the Commercial and Medicaid Payer Enrollment spreadsheet, the Payer Portal and Contact Guide, the Billing and Appeal Team Medicaid Enrollment tracker, and the Portal Access tracking sheet.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
3 years + experience in credentialing role, with proven experience in managing and completing EDI and EFT enrollment activities.
Working knowledge of payer credentialing rules, portals and regulations.
Detailed oriented, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate the completion of several activities/projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated, extensive knowledge of state license requirements, primary source verification as well as credentialing and database maintenance.
Ability to develop and manage credentialing independently.
Ability to complete work during high-pressure periods while maintaining flexibility and a pleasant attitude.
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
Must be able to function independently and on a team, possess demonstrated flexibi lity in multiple project management capabilities.
Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
