MAG SOA/TRMS Civilian Mission Flight Instructors (CMFI): A/MH-6M in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky
Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Civilian Mission Flight Instructors (CMFI): A/MH-6M to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide flight instruction to students on topics within the flight instruction curriculum.
The Contractor shall train Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Government, Partner Nation and Contractorrotary wing aviators in the basic mission skills to conduct night vision goggle (NVG) helicopter operations at terrainflight altitudes under various light and weather conditions to standard per the ARSOA- 6,Aircrew Training Manual.
Shall qualify Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Government, and Contractor rotary wing aviators for duty as a Basic Mission Qualified (BMQ) Pilot, Instructor Pilot, and/or Maintenance Test Pilot in the A/MH-6M, rotary wing airframe.
Provide instruction to the assessing Rated Student Pilots that enables them to meet the SOA Basic Mission Qualification (BMQ) standard, as set forth in the Regimental Standard Operating Procedures (RTSOP). Government instructors will certify the BMQ proficiency of all Rated Student Pilots at the end of the course.
Assist with administering the APART. The Contractor shall provide aviator refresher tests and evaluations. The Contractor shall provide instruction on Instrument tests and evaluation flights.
Perform crew duties during training support flights, recovery flights, demonstration flights, and as co-pilot for maintenance test flights when approved by the GFR.
Assist with training schedules and aircraft scheduling. The Contractor shall coordinate aircraft and resource scheduling to support POI training.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Rated by DoD in their respective aircraft type.
Graduate of a DoD Instructor Pilot Course for the aircraft type which they will instruct.
Minimum of two years experience as a Fully Mission Qualified (FMQ), Flight Lead (FL), StandardizationInstructor Pilot (SIP) or Instructor Pilot (IP) in Army Special Operations rotary wing helicopters.
Current FAA commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating (Helicopter) as required by AR 95-20,2,500-hours minimum pilot/copilot experience in rotary wing aircraft, and 500 hours flying with Night Vision Goggles (NVG).
Demonstrated record of professional maturity and judgment while serving in Army Special OperationsAviation.
Qualified in Dunker and Emergency Breathing Device (HEEDS).

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
