Job Description:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and deliverables for Student Life units.

  • Collaborate with professional marketing staff to create polished assets.

  • Ideate and create engaging social media content tailored to various platforms.

  • Research, compose, and edit student life stories, showcasing the dynamic experiences and opportunities at UF.

  • Maintain and update websites, ensuring information is accurate, current, and reflective of the Student Life mission.

  • Update Division of Student Life events on calendar.ufl.edu.

  • Support special projects and campaigns as needed, collaborating with a team of designers, web developers, photographers, videographers, and digital content creators.

  • Serve as a go-to person within the department to assist with projects of all kinds that will directly elevate the success of the team and the stories we tell together.

Expected Salary:$13.00/hr

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled University of Florida student

  • Willing to work 10-20 hours per week

  • Must be available to work weekdays, and some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an interest in people and building positive relationship that make the Division of Student Life and the UF community better.

  • Possess solid writing and grammar skills, as well as the ability to craft and maintain a consistent voice and tone.

  • Have experience with social media management, web editing (WordPress), and/or graphic design (Canva).

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

  • Ability to demonstrate intelligent thinking and an eye for detail and accuracy.

  • An interest in thinking creatively, strategically and collaboratively to aid in educating our community on the experiences and offerings available to enhance the UF experience.
