Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models. These duties include diagnosing malfunctions, disassembling, reworking, repairing, replacing, reassembling, and adjusting various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to the customer.
Responsibilities
Perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks without supervision.
Carry out airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications to meet company and FAA requirements.
Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
Perform turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run-ups.
Execute airframe system and component changes and systems checkouts.
Install service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines.
Comprehend and complete all Aircraft Manufacturer Scheduled Maintenance items.
Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts; and test aircraft systems.
Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Sign for work accomplished, including troubleshooting deferred maintenance items, and ensure proper recording of all maintenance tasks on company documents.
Build customer invoices using labor calculations, purchase orders, and parts mark-up calculations.
Use equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.
Maintain a constant watch for safety and ensure work adheres to the highest quality standards.
Monitor to reduce excessive labor duplication costs.
Ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed, and approved hardware or supplies are utilized.
Essential Skills
Aircraft maintenance experience.
A&P License preferred.
Experience with maintenance on corporate aircraft or any Cirrus product, Phenom, Embraer, Praeter, Legacy, Lineage, Cirrus, jet, and line maintenance.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A&P License preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance, or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
Strong preference for experience in an MRO environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00
