What You Can Expect

Responsible for site efficiency, prioritization and escalation over weekends to ensure site outputs are delivered while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Critical to the role is an understanding of impacts of equipment issues on required outputs and appropriate escalations for same, once on-site resources have been exhausted. Collaborates closely with on-site Senior Supervisor, Supervisors and technical team and escalate where necessary to the Site Management team.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Build the shift with the required capability, capacity and culture to operate at the highest standard of excellence.

  • Act as the bridge between the week and the weekend teams to provide continuity in approach and direction to the weekend on-site teams to facilitate achievement of site outputs and metrics.

  • Participate in weekend readiness meeting to understand priorities in advance so that appropriate decisions are taken.

  • Support on site teams across the weekend by participation in line walks, tiered updates and other standard processes.

  • Work closely with on-site technical teams as issues present to understand likelihood of resolution by on-site team and impact on weekend outputs.

  • Where issues cannot be resolved by on-site team, work with Senior Supervisor/Supervisor to assess impact on production plan to establish if recovery without escalation is possible.

  • Where recovery without escalation is not possible, deploy escalation plan to engage with required stakeholders to address and correct. Eg Facilities, Engineering, Operations, Site lead, as appropriate.

  • Provide a standard handover in terms of substance and detail to returning Value Stream teams so that continuity exists across seven days and monthly outputs and metrics are achieved.

  • Collaborate with Supervisory team to support CI activity on weekend shifts.

  • Support on-site supervisory team with respect to communication and engagement.

  • Full working knowledge of Zimmer Biomet manufacturing, maintenance, and quality process/procedures.

  • Manage and deliver on relevant projects.

  • Six Sigma, CI and Lean Training and deployment an advantage.

  • Advanced knowledge in control documentation, quality systems, CAPA with previous external body audit experience.

  • A willingness to challenge established thinking in pursuit of continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline plus up to five years of work experience directly related to an engineering discipline in a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working with a cross function team in an Operational environment.
