Summary of Job: Responsible for shipping and receiving of all goods into the facility and assisting in maintaining the warehouse properly organized and maintained to facilitate product movement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks, and transfer material within the plant and departments as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse daily for easy and efficient product location.

  • Perform daily inventory as needed and communicate information to the appropriate people.

  • Maintain inventory of purchased products and perform cycle counts.

  • Coordinate scrap material storage and oversee changes to the department storage floor plan.

  • Familiarity with scheduling systems and procedures, able to communicate information to all levels of management.

  • Coordinate storage locations.

  • Perform material move transactions in the SAP system as needed.

  • Change out propane cylinders on the forklift as required.

  • Move scrap into the open-top dumpster and compactor.

  • Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.

  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience.

  • 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience.

  • 2+ years of inventory control experience.

  • Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management Software (ex. SAP).

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Work in temperatures of up to 100 plus for up to 12-hour shifts.

  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, and occasional bending and twisting.

  • Occasional stair climbing, pushing/pulling 30-60 pounds of force, and reaching.

  • Repetitive use of wrist, hands, and fingers; frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.

  • Must be physically able to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.

  • Must be able to move safely throughout the facility as needed.

Shift: Shift work. Overtime expected per business demand.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year manufacturing preferred
