Within the Innovation department of dsm-firmenich Biomedical, we are currently looking for a Senior Technician Formulation for Drug Delivery, Medical Coatings and Polyethylene applications .

In this role, you will assure that dsm-firmenich Biomedical products are of consistent and high quality by: assuming responsibility for duties related to the support of existing drug delivery solutions and new product development activities, characterization of biomaterials and medical device materials, formulation development, development of pharmaceutical or combination device products or technologies in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. Besides this, over time you will develop to support within the flexible Technician Pool our Medical Coatings as well as our Polyethylene business.

*Key Responsibilities *

• Lead & execute wet lab activities in polymer synthesis, formulation, testing and development of products, processes and technologies based on project needs.

• Contribute to design and perform experimental campaigns in support of projects. Contribute to deliver results on time and within project budget.

• Support multi-functional project teams by executing wet lab activities.

• Interact with various internal disciplines and competences.

• Act as the interface between operations, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, application development and technical service. This will result in a broad network and multifunctional relationships.

• Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 38,726 to € 69,342 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

*You Bring *

• Experience in wet lab activities, including polymer synthesis, formulation, analytical characterization & testing.

• Related MBO degree or HBO degree in science, technology or equivalent.

• Proven ability to maintain effective data acquisition, analyses, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Preferably, knowledge of operating in context of the medical device, combination products or pharmaceutical industry regarding quality system requirements (e.g., ISO13485, cGMP) and regulatory challenges.

• Fluency in English.
