Summary:

Night Shift

This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor. This is an hourly position in which overtime may be required as determined and approved by the Production Supervisor. This In addition to the listed responsibilities, there may be other responsibilities when required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leader

• Coordinate daily operator schedule with Production Supervisor to ensure consistency between shifts
• Coordinate operator training activities.
• Coordinate all break and lunch schedules daily and assume operator responsibilities during relief for breaks and lunches.
• Reduce labor by maximizing operator throughput daily and communicating with on-coming shift to ensure consistency between shifts.
• Communicate with Quality Control throughout shift to ensure production is satisfying customer/company requirements.
• Ensure hourly parts verification for all machines is completed by the designated operator, notify Quality Control of any suspect findings.
• Ensure work orders and operator instructions are on the machine at job start.
• Assist machine operators in correction and prevention of defects.
• Ensure operators review, sign, and follow operator instructions to promote consistency for our customers.
• Ensure tote procedures are being followed for all part retention.
• Implement 5-S standards in the department.
• Ensure each operator is demonstrating single piece flow during production runs.
• Monitor cycle times during the shift to maximize production requirements.
• The on-coming lead and current lead must perform a pre-shift inspection together, to ensure the department is always customer ready.
• Ensure operators maintain clean and safe work area during the shift.
• Assume duties of machine operator and provide relief for breaks and lunches.
• Coordinate machine set up during production runs to support single pieces flow.
• Ensure all products are properly weighed, labeled, and scanned on your shift.
• Complete end of shift production reports in IQMS, verify part quantities, scrap, downtime, and labor.
• Provide accurate information about operator performance to the Supervisor.
• Promote a positive and productive attitude with all customers and towards all employees of Atlantis Industries
• In efforts to reduce scrap, monitor scrap levels during the shift.
• Provide physical counts on materials as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Ensure all operators are following all policies and procedures
• Develop your team to improve their skill set
