Actalent Ehs Coordinator in Georgetown, Kentucky

Job Title: EHS CoordinatorJob Description

Coordinates the development and implementation of safety policies and practices to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines. Conducts educational and training programs to empower employees to achieve long-term safety results. Performs accident investigations, equipment inspections, and Job Safety Analysis. Develops and recommends policies related to industrial hygiene and worker compensation. Utilizes continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of safety policies and practices.

  • Conduct educational and training programs on safety.

  • Perform accident investigations and equipment inspections.

  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis.

  • Recommend policies related to industrial hygiene and worker compensation.

  • Utilize methods for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Safety training

  • Environmental health & safety knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in manufacturing safety

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations

  • Ability to conduct safety audits

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or related field OR 2 years of experience within manufacturing in a safety role

Work Environment

This position is based across 2 plants. One plant assembles seats for Camry, and the other assembles seats for Camry and RAV4. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM, with flexibility if needed. Overtime work is required as necessary. All proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
