Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance tasks, performing minor electrical and plumbing repairs, addressing minor HVAC issues, and carrying out light painting, drywall, and carpentry work. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as filter changes, belt replacements, and equipment inspections.
Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, fixtures, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
Handle minor plumbing tasks such as checking temperature and pressure relief valves, fixing leaks under sinks, toilets, and other drains/pipes.
Carry out minor HVAC maintenance including replacing air filters, cleaning condenser coils, checking refrigerant levels, and repairing minor issues like faulty thermostats or clogged air filters.
Perform light painting, drywall, and carpentry work.
Manage routine outside maintenance and some interior preventive maintenance tasks.
Maintain vendor relationships and schedule maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
CFC Universal certification
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance
Experience with HVAC systems, pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, and pneumatic systems
Ability to follow safety protocols and effectively communicate
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Vendor management experience
Strong customer service skills
Proficiency in preventive maintenance and inspections

Work Environment
Work in a multi-building campus with around 300,000 sq ft of standard office space and some flex space. The role involves maintaining a comfortable and safe environment across the portfolio.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Germantown, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
