Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Germantown, Tennessee
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to be a part of our team located in Germantown, Tennessee. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department by handling key aspects of our accounts payable processes.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process credit applications from customers promptly and efficiently
• Maintain up-to-date customer credit records
• Resolve any issues relating to Accounts Payable
• Update and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Handle checks and expense report processing
• Provide administrative support to the AP/Finance Department
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary support
• Distribute department mail daily, ensuring all necessary documents are appropriately organized
• Ensure the accurate logging and mailing of checks, including those requiring expedited handling
• Implement daily processes and controls, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Manage the organization, logging, scanning, and filing of invoices, checks, and other documents. Requirements • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Demonstrable expertise in the usage of Accounts Payable (AP) software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Must have a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Excellent data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Demonstrable ability to meet all payment deadlines.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Capability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
