The Trading Book Risk Data Transformation Specialist is responsible for enabling the end-to-end execution and/or adoption of the Data Transformation plan in compliance with Citi’s Data Governance Policy. Focuses on work efforts to demonstrate risk reduction and facilitate adherence to the Citi Data Governance Policy. This position has an impact on the business by engagement with stakeholders to address data quality issues that will benefit end users in risk reporting and risk management. These include identify critical data elements, setup data quality monitoring scorecard and create measurable risk reduction matrices that are meaningful to end users (risk report and risk management).

This position requires a thorough understanding of enterprise data governance concepts, combined with practical experience of implementing them in a complex organization. Excellent communication skills are required to influence internally, often at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate definition and execution of Risk requirements according to the Citi Data Operating Model (DOM):

  • Support definition of scope, risk reduction metrics, issues, and data requirements for Risk, including Wholesale, Retail, Price, and Operational Risk Types.

  • Monitor delivery of Tactical and Strategic Fixes as required by the Citi Data Operating Model (DOM) for Risk use-cases. Support testing and documentation of successful fix implementations

  • Provide Risk input to adoption RBCM deliverables, including Data Lineage, Authoritative Repository designation and Data Certification.

  • Ensure all audit artifacts are complete and accurate. Support IA Validations.

  • Monitor progress against risk reduction metrics linked to the Risk use-cases; documenting and escalating any risks, issues or challenges that might impact our ability to meet those targets.

  • Monitor BAU issues raised outside of the Consent Order via the Data Concern Remediation Management process to ensure that issues are appropriately prioritized and addressed.

Qualifications:

  • 8 + years of experience in risk and/or finance information analytics, preferable with implementation of data management related initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent work experience
