Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Glen Allen, Virginia

Description

We are on the lookout for a proficient Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing sector in GLEN ALLEN, Virginia. This role involves overseeing the collection of outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient collection of all debts and payments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the routine activities of accounts including invoicing, issuing of monthly statements and collection of overdue accounts.

• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure credits and collections are executed as per the company standards.

• Address and resolve client billing problems and reduce accounts receivable delinquency.

• Review and monitor client account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.

• Carry out account reconciliations and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on collections and disbursements.

• Set objectives for the accounts receivable team, and assess their performance regularly.

• Develop and implement new policies and procedures, refining existing processes to improve the effectiveness of Accounts Receivables.

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Must have experience with 3M, Concur, CRM, and ADP - Financial Services

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential

• Must be well-versed in Auditing practices

• Proficiency in Billing Functions is required

• In-depth knowledge of the Accounts Receivable Manager role is essential

• Leadership and team management skills are required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Must have a detail-oriented work ethic
