Ultimate LLC Mechanical Superintendent in Glen Burnie, Maryland
Ultimate LLC has an immediate need for a Mechanical Superinendent for a direct hire position in the Baltimore area. Salary is $75k-$100k.
MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT
The superintendent will have the flexibility to assist with management of multiple projects in Baltimore, MD working directly with the Operations Manager and General Superintendent(s). There will be the opportunity to work in our satellite office from time to time. The Superintendent will work with operations to coordinate manpower and resources to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on-budget, within schedule and in compliance with the company’s standards and to the customer’s satisfaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily coordination with Operations Team to support current and upcoming projects in the field, overseeing mechanical service and installation work in industrial settings.
Assist with project buy-out for supplied materials, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Expedite the material deliveries of subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with the project schedule and coordinate with the project team.
Coordinate between field operations and the office to seek clarification through the RFI process and ensure drawings are up to date.
Assist with pre-construction and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors, as appropriate.
Other duties, as assigned.
EXPECTATIONS
Check in with assigned job site foremen daily (either over the phone, or in person).
Check in with the operations team daily (either over the phone or in person).
Visit each job site weekly, at a minimum, or as required based on project needs.
Record subcontractor progress (where applicable)
Turn in delivery tickets, invoices, and any other paperwork to the Baltimore Office.
45-50 hours per week, on a weekly basis, as needed.
Out client is a service company, and as such, weekends and night shifts may be required from time to time, as dictated by our client needs.
PROJECTS
Establish a solid working relationship with each client that is assigned, that is founded on communication and understanding.
Communicate the work plan, any issues, and progress to the client and foreman within the time frame that fits their needs (daily, weekly, etc.).
Communicate daily (or more often as needed) with on-site supervision to discuss the plan, needs, and progress of each job task and project.
Coordinate equipment rentals for assigned projects.
Provide troubleshooting solutions when problems are encountered during site visits.
Perform QA/QC inspections of work to ensure specifications are followed and objectives are met.
Work with site supervision to develop and execute a construction plan for assigned projects, considering material and resource requirements, and working with the operations team to schedule those tasks accordingly
Visit the project sites to understand each client’s business, facility layout, and project objectives.
Communicate all plans, progress, and issues to the PM and OM as they occur.
SAFETY
Perform inspection of safety policies and procedures on-site to ensure all employees are working safely. Take corrective action as needed.
Track specialty tools and equipment and store at the office.
Enforce safety policies when on-site.
Provide oversight for PPE and ensure all employees have adequate PPE.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
2-5 Years previous experience in millwrighting, preferably in an industrial environment.
Familiarity with ASME codes & standards
Familiarity with SMAW, GTAW and FCAW welding processes
Flexibility to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments.
Reliable transportation with active driver’s license
US Citizen and/or Green Card Verified
Flexibility to travel in the Baltimore Metro Area (Aberdeen, MD to Washington, DC)
Willing to work at least 40 hours per week (Mon – Thu on a 4-10’s schedule or Mon- Fri on a 5-8s schedule), with the flexibility to work overtime as required. Some night shift may be required, which is dependent on client needs.
Flexibility to work outside of your trade.
