The Mickey & Friends Graphic Design & Branding Intern is responsible for crafting and producing Graphic Design assets from concept to final artwork. Will focus on creative style guide development for the Mickey & Friends for Consumer Products. The Graphic Design Intern will be part of a larger team crafting multiple style guides each season in support of Licensing business strategies!

What You Will Do

  • Development of Graphic Design & Branding for licensing creative style guides and portfolios across the Mickey &Friends franchise

  • Awareness of fashion and market trends

  • Able to build strong POV boards to set direction and tone for style guide projects

  • Art style/new technique creative development to co-ordinate with trends in the marketplace

  • Contribute new graphic design ideas, be resourceful and problem solve

  • Maintain Graphic Design standards that meet brand guidelines and strategies

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong traditional and digital drawing skills in addition to concepting capabilities

  • Strong creative computer skills (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, & Keynote)

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Strong graphic design, layout, color, and illustration skills a must

  • Some production skills needed

  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects meeting tight deadlines

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art and Design, Illustration or other related fields

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • This internship is a primarily on-site position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025

  • Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
