Position: Supply Chain Buyer -- Engineering Services Location: Hybrid (Ford World Headquarters, with potential work at PDC)

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Buyer to lead the purchasing of Engineering Services for our North American operations. This pivotal role will be responsible for strategically managing suppliers of specialized engineering firms, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of services that support the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and driving cost reductions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead negotiations and develop negotiation strategies for large, complex engineering services contracts, focusing on cost savings and improved terms.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and contracts, effectively balancing competing priorities and resource constraints.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across engineering, strategy, project management, finance, and legal teams.
• Analyze data to drive operational decisions and present clear, actionable recommendations to leadership and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of purchasing strategy with organizational goals.

Skills Required:

• Strong negotiation skills in the Engineering Services category, with a deep understanding of contract management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and contracts simultaneously, prioritizing effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in Ariba (required), Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and leading teams.
• Customer service oriented with a "can-do/will-do" attitude and a passion for driving innovative change.
• Ability to build relationships with global cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Strategy, Project Management, Finance, and Legal.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on purchasing engineering services.

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Additional Information:

• This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Ford World Headquarters (WHQ), with occasional work at the Product Development Center (PDC) due to the nature of the role.
