Checon, LLC, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is currently recruiting for an Industrial Electrician at our Glens Falls, NY location. This position is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and servicing of production and support equipment within the facility along with project support and preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime while maintaining operational safety. Essential Job Duties Include:Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and/or components of all production equipment and building infrastructureDevelop and maintain PM schedule for electrical circuits and/or components of equipment and buildingPlan or assist in setup and installation of new equipment and/or equipment components and/or plan or assist in dismantling obsolete equipment and/or componentsRecommend and/or implement methods or system improvements to increase operational efficiencyMaintain IT Infrastructure-running Cat5/6 and Fiber-Optic cablesSet up and operate a variety of shop equipmentEnsure Safety compliance; Support a safety culture by administering and following all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized department.Qualifications/Requirements: Associate’s degree in Industrial Electricity or related field or 5+ years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician within a manufacturing environmentFormal electrical training (apprenticeship)Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, PLC and Motor Control along w/ all types of electrical phasingDemonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, as well as technical testing equipment consistent with the Industrial Electrical fieldDemonstrated ability to design and plan electrical installationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsMechanical experience desiredComputer literacy - Preferably with Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)Excellent communication skills - Verbal and writtenSelf-MotivatedStrong commitment to safety & qualityPhysical Requirements/Safety: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.At Checon, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Life and Colonial Life plans.
